At first some Christmas gifts I got this year. One of it is a nice light I got from Sweden which shine with a teecandle. It is from china and as I opened the package I was thinking: what a pity, it is damaged :-( But it has to look like that and it is really beautiful
Das nächste ist, dass die Bären-Patchworkdecke so wunderschön dahin passt, wofür sie gedacht war. Ins Babybettchen. Ich denke mal, für die Wiege ist sie etwas zu groß, auf jeden Fall wird es eng mit beiden Kissen. Aber der Bub wächst ja und dann hat er länger was davon.
The next is that the bear-patchworkblanket so beautiful suit for what it is. In the banybed. I think it will be a little full for the cradle at any rate with both pillows. But the boy will grow and so he has it a little longer.
Ein anderes Geschenk habe ich tatsächlich noch vor Weihnachten bekommen, so dass ich es mit an meinen Weihnachtsbaum hängen konnte, wenn man genau hinschaut, sieht man es sogar. Von Andrea aus der Slovakai habe ich sehr schöne Weihnachtskugeln in blau-gold bekommen, die sehr schön zu meinem blau-goldenen Schmuck passt. Sie hatte mich vorher nach den Farben gefragt und ich war gespannt, was sie machen würde. Es war eine Freude, das Paket auszupacken und das Ergebnis zu sehen. Und sie hat noch leckere selbstegebackene Plätzchen eingepackt.
Another gift I really got before Christmas, so that I could hang it on my Christmas tree. If oyu have good eyes, you can see it. Andrea from Slovakia made beautiful Christmas ornaments in blue-gold and they suit very good to the rest of my blue-gold ornaments. She asked me before about the colours and I was curious, what she will make. It was a pleasure to open the package and see the result. And she put in also tasty selfmade cookies in. Andrea, if you read this, I did not share them, I eat them all alone ;)
Und nachdem alle verspäteten Weihnachtsgeschenke verschickt waren, hatte ich endlich wieder Zeit mich mit Alpaka zu belohnen. Hm, ich mag es immer gar nicht spinnen, weil es so unheimlich wuschlich und weich ist, leicht wie eine Feder. Das einzigste, worüber man wirklich hinwegsehen mus, ist, dass es einfach schutzig ist. Die ersten Alpaka Garne, die ich gesponnen habe haben meine Hände und das Spinnrad schwarz gemacht vor lauter Fett und es riecht wie Kamel. Aber nach dem Entspannungsbad ist beides verschwunden. Es ist sauber und riecht, wonach ich möchte. Auch wenn die Meinung unter Kennern ist, dass man Alpaka nicht waschen muss, nur einfach ein wenig auslüften und ausklopfen, wasche ich meine Handstulpen doch ganz gerne mal durch. Sollte ich mir irgendwann mal Schal und Mütze aus Alpaka stricken, werden diese auchum gelegentliche Wäschen nicht herumkommen. Ich kann mir einfach nicht vorstellen, dass da, wo Schweiß und Fett vom Körper abgegeben wird, ausklopfen und lüften zum reinigen reicht. Siehe meine schwarzen Hände beim spinnen.
And after shipping of all late Christmas gifts I rewarded by myself with spinning Alpaka. Hm, I don´t want to spinn this wool, because it is so fluffy and soft, light like a feather. The only, I have to look over is, it is really dirty. The first Alpaka yarns I spun made my hands and the wheel black from the grease and it smells like a camel. But after the wellness bath both is missing and it smells as I like it. Also as the meaning of the experts is, that you do not have to wash, you only should ventilate and shake, I will wash my mittens from time to time. Should I knit sometimes a shawl or a beany they also will not avoid to wash. I cannot believe that where sweat and grease will leave the body only ventilate is enough. Looked at my black hands at spinning.
Ich musste erstmal auf die Suche gehen, aber das müsste von "Petrella" sein, eines der "Lieferanten" der Eselsbrücke. Mit ca. 350m kommt es an Sockengarn heran. Es werden wohl zumindest ein Paar Eulen-Handstulpen für die Mama daraus.
I had to look for, but it must be "Petrella" one of the "supplier" of the Eselsbrücke. With approx. 350m it has the thicknes of sockyarn. I think it will be again some owl mittens this time for mum.
Das war übrigens ein relativ sauberes Garn, kein Fett und kaum Strohreste. Und: Man kann Produkte aus Alpaka waschen, sie leiden nicht darunter
By the way, this was a relative clean wool, no grease and little straw residues.
And: you can wash products from Alpaka, they will not damage.
