Der erste Schuss - the first shot

ich habe es geschafft, ich habe tatsächlich den ersten Zentimeter gewebt *grins

Ich habe fast eine Woche gebraucht, um die 200 Fäden aufzuziehen und wie es immer ist, zum Schluss stellt man fest, wie es schneller, einfacher und besser geht. Aber da das ja ein Übungsstück in allen Schritten wird, ist das alles nicht so schlimm.
Ein Problem ist noch am rechten Rand, da hat es irgendwie den äußersten Kettfaden nicht mit eingewebt, aber da schau ich morgen noch ein mal genau hin.

Approxiamtely one week I needed to warp 200 threads. And as always at the end I found out how it would be faster, easier and better. But this will be a test piece in all steps so it does no matter.

Im Moment will ich einfach nur wissen, was ich mit diesem Webblatt anstellen kann (es war nur eines dabei und ich kann leider keine Größenangabe dafür finden) und wie viel "Verschnitt" ich am Anfang und Ende beim nächsten richtigen Projekt hinzurechnen muss, damit mein Schal, oder was auch immer nicht zu kurz wird. 

At the moment I only want to know what all I can weave with this reed (only one I got and I cannot find any number on it about the size) and how much "trash" on beginning and end I must calculate that the shawl or what ever I want to weave will not be too short.

Von den Maßen des Webblattes her habe ich schon welche gesehen, die passen könnten, zumal ich den oberen Balken, der es hält, in der Höhe verstellen kann.
Aber erstmal schaue ich, was dieses alles schafft. Hier habe ich 2 Fäden pro Schlitz durchgezogen, also sollte ein doppelt dickes Garn mit 1 Faden pro Schlitz eigentlich auch funktionieren.

From the dimensions of the reed I found some which would suit. Because the upper fixing I can open and move. But at first I will have a look what I can do with this. Here I pulled 2 threads through one slot so with thicker yarn and only one thread by slot it should be work too.

Obwohl sich das Garn fast gleich angefasst hat in der Stärke, merke ich spätestens jetzt, dass es doch unterschiedlich ist. Ich denke mal, wenn ich das Schussgarn morgen wechsele, wird das noch offensichtlicher. Und man merkt auch einen Unterschied in der Qualität der Garne: weiß - Nica-Baumwolle, die ich mal als Häkelgarn von der Mama bekommen habe und grün - ein deutsches Baumwollgarn von einer Riesenkone. Beide sind schön weich, so dass zumindest das Endergebnis nicht bretthart wird.

Allthough the yarn looks same strength I see now it is different. I think better I will see it when Ichange tomorrow the weft. And I see the difference in the quality of the yarn: white - Nica-cotton I got from my mum for crotcheting and green - a German cotton from a cone. Both are soft so that the result will not hard as a board.
